In Mythological Creatures, Lahela Kamealoha first meets Nico Alexander when he is riding his dirt bike around the hospital, then Lahela notices him in the hospital. She asks him why he is there and when he says cancer Lahela doesn’t believe him. She checks his file to see that he was telling the truth. Thus begins their friendship and romance
